Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy

Commonly referred to as adjusting, chiropractic manipulative therapy involves placing gentle forces on certain joints of the body to induce movement and restore normal biomechanics. There is favorable evidence showing that manipulation of the spine can help many patients with low back pain, neck pain, and headaches.

Non-Invasive Spinal Traction/Decompression Therapy

This therapy is performed by using a special computerized machine that provides the proper amount of traction to help gently separate the vertebrae and spinal joints. This safe and comfortable treatment can help those patients suffering from low back or neck conditions. To learn more about Non-Invasive Spinal Traction/Decompression Therapy

Nutritional Evaluation, Planning, and Supplementation

The body is complex and its function is integrated through many systems. The driving force is energy. What we eat has a significant impact on how our body will perform. Drs. Ingui and Goldberg can help direct you and give advice on certain foods, vitamins, and supplements. Learn more about Metagenics and Standard Process high quality whole food supplements.

Trigger Point Release

Trigger points are areas within muscle tissue that have increased neural input. This in turn can cause referred pain to certain parts of the body. Trigger point therapy involves applying pressure either by hands or a tool to help relax the area of increased neural input.

Myofascial Therapy

Sometimes referred to as muscle stripping, this technique is geared towards breaking up fibrotic adhesions within muscle and fascia with the doctors hands or a tool.

Ergonomics and Postural Education

A persons daily activity from driving, to job related duties, to sleeping positions all play a role in the healing process. Education on these factors will help maximize the healing process and help return the patient to optimal function.

Instrument Assisted Soft-Tissue Mobilization

With the use of a metal tool, this technique help accelerate tissue healing by stimulating cells to produce healthy tissue. This technique can also be used to decrease inflammation and break up fibrotic adhesions.

Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR) is a specialized form of instrument assisted soft-tissue mobilization involving certain motions and exercises to help maximize soft-tissue healing.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation

E-Stim is performed by having electrodes applied to the surface of skin. A small current is then applied helping to sooth muscles that may be in spasm. This modality can also facilitate the release of enkephalins which are the bodies natural pain relievers.

Flexion Distraction

Utilizing a special table in which the rear portion is mobile and can be flexed and turned in a variety of positions allowing the clinician to gently mobilize the joints in the lower back.

Kinesiology Taping

After a treatment, the use of kinesiology tape is to help support the muscles and fascia allowing the body to heal. Kinesiology tape can stay on for up to 5 days and is safe to have on while showering.

Therapeutic Exercises

Certain rehabilitative exercise may are prescribed as part of a treatment plan to help support the joints and muscles. These exercises play a crucial role to the bodies healing process and allowing the patient to regain function.

Neural Mobilization

Nerve tissue can sometimes be injured and the end result can lead to scar tissue formation and pain. This treatment is focused on helping restore the integrity of the nerve tissue and reducing the scar-tissue build-up by gently moving the body through certain positions to help "floss" the nerve.

Ground reaction forces play a key role in the biomechanics of the human body. Sometimes when the feet are not properly functioning, forces are distributed up the body in a way that can be harmful. A custom orthotic is molded the contours of your feet and help normalize the amount of force being distributed during activity.
